Alice Covatta

Alice is designer, researcher and illustrator exploring the ambiguous connections between body perception, environment and architecture.

She received bachelor and master’s degrees in Architecture with honor at IUAV University in 2010 and enrolled for one year at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture Paris-Belleville.

Later she worked as an architect in Italy (Waltritsch a+u) and Spain (Abalos+Sentkiewicz Arquitectos) dealing with architectural projects and competitions.

She received her Ph.D. in Architecture from University of Udine with one-academic year at Keio University in Tokyo. Her Phd research investigated the ambiguous but generative coexistence of public and intimate projected in Tokyo with in-depth case-study research on Tsukiji fish market.

Her works have been exposed among others at MAXXI museum, Toronto’s John H. Daniels Faculty, Venice Biennale and LoopHole in Melbourne.
