Bekim Ramku

Born in Prishtina 1979, Bekim is a practicing architect, curator, critic and founder of the Kosovo Architecture Foundation and the Prishtina Architecture Week.  Apart from running KAF and PAW Bekim heads the “Office of Urban Design+Architecture” a multidisciplinary practice based in Prishtina.  He was educated in Architecture Engineering at the University of Prishtina and gained his MA in Housing and Urbanism from the AA School of Architecture in London.

Before establishing the Kosovo Architecture Foundation Bekim initiated and commissioned Kosovo’s first entry at the Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale in 2012 and served as Assistant Commissioner at the 2014 exhibition.  Past three years he also served as an advisor to the Kosovo Minister of Culture.
